Simpson - Florence "Catherine" Lamson

Mrs. Catherine Simpson, 99, who resided on Rt. 1, Waveland, in the Browns Valley community, died Friday night in Culver Hospital. She had been a patient for 9 days. She was born 1-1-1871 in Montgomery County where she lived all her life. Her parents were Thomas and Delilah Burk Lamson. She married Charles Simpson in Montgomery County. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Browns Valley Christian Church. Surviving are 11 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 13 great, great greatchildren and several nieces/nephews. Services will be conducted by Rev. Edward Dooley at 2 p.m. Monday in Machledt and Servies Funeral Home. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. -- kbz
